Sometimes you’ve got more to share than will fit on a page. That’s no reason to let things get loose or disorganized, in fact, we think it’s a great opportunity to step up the professionalism and excitement of your messaging. Now that event season is on and Covid restrictions are lifting, more and more people are turning to printed booklets to organize their information.
A saddle-stitched booklet was once something that took hours of setup time. It was reserved for jobs big enough to run on a full-color printing press. But with today’s digital printing capabilities and the addition of short-run binding equipment, you can print and publish anything from a catalog to a magazine in very low quantities at incredibly affordable rates. But there is a difference in quality that is defined by where you get this done.
Recently we’ve seen employers improving their employee manuals, event planners using these for programs and auction catalogs, and even land developers taking advantage of the opportunity to showcase their community. No matter the need, we can help get your image boosted and your information organized and looking great.
The only thing you have to do is provide us with the content. We can handle the layout, or you can do it yourself. If you are doing your own layout, it’s important that you make sure the number of pages in the layout is greater than 8 and is divisible by the number 4.
Here’s why: Imagine that you have two sheets of paper, they are stacked one on top of the other and then they are folded, then after we fold them, we staple them along the fold to create a spine. These two pages are now fastened together, and they create an 8-page booklet. So booklets come in 8, 12, 16, 20 pgs. and so on.
Make sure your photos and illustrations are of high resolution (300DPI is preferred) and if you are using special fonts, that you send them with your files or save them as outlines so the piece looks exactly as you designed it. No matter what you need, we are ready to help make sure your next print piece is a masterpiece. Count on New Hanover to make sure the printing is excellent, the binding is right and the paper is bright. When you get these elements aligned, excellence is the outcome you’ll be known for.
